In fact, the "before" photo shows how they looked two or three days after I tried to clean them with only the PlastX product. They're actually a lot cleaner in the "before" photo than they were when I started. The Turtle Wax product has pads numbered 1 thru 4 that are of varying "grits" and will take the fogginess off pretty easily.

Not flaming your work Oldmike but try the Mother's Headlight Restoration and the results will be nothing short of spectacular!
I wish I had taken photos of my girls Honda headlights when I did them. They were much worse then the Jags you have in the picture. When I was done they literally looked brand new!

I've used the Turtle Wax product on my S-type. Actually works quite well, but its a lot of manual effort since you first do it with the clarifying compound, then with pads 1,2,3,4 and then again the clarifying compound. Didn't use a buffing pad just terry cloth. Each light took 10-15 min each but came out sparkling new. Would rather use something rotary to cut out the elbow grease.

Mothers has a pad for a drill and as I stated in the other thread it was about 5 minutes per light. It took me longer to mask off the body panels then it did to polish out the lights.

I spent about an hour yesterday trying to clear the lenses "manually" and decided that I had to run to Wal-Mart today to see if I could find the Mothers product -- it was about $22 but the results were worth it.

Since this S-Type has now become mine, I decided to take your advice, and of course you are absolutely correct -- beautiful results!

I recently used a solution of vinegar and baking soda to clean up some headlights that had a yellow tinge to them. It worked wonders, the surface is now clean, clear and smooth to touch. All I've done is most likely taken the UV protection coating off, which is what all products do except some have a protective additive to replace it.
