Default Busy day check it out more pics to come...

Still in the process of drying but check out what I've been up to today. Still getting footage for my brake video so should be edited and up tomorrow. Couldn't wait to get pics cause its turning out nicer then I thought. The pics are showing somewhat orangy but they are a red color. Look just like Brembo red. I got the decals from my friend and they are cleared into the caliper. What do you guys think?? More pics as they dry and I can finish getting the rest of the rotors on and the rims.

The black rotors are coated but just on the outside. I remember someone saying something about some that were black throughout. I will let you guys know an update on how they are doing. I live in the south so I dont have to worry about salt or anything eating the coating off. I had some coated rotors on my last car when I was living in Michigan and the salt tore those up. These already seem like a better quality then the ones I had on my previous car. I'll get some better pics tomorrow after I give her a bath and its sunny out. By the time I got it all back together it was dark so couldn't clean her up for some good pics. I bought 2 G2 caliper kits and only used one so if someone was thinking about the red let me know.

That was me, I found some through and through black rotors but they are an arm and a leg. Manufacture cost they are about $369 each so I haven't even dug any deeper into them. I would imagine after all the hands they pass through a retail consumer is going to pay $800 each.

Wow yea that is way pricey. My rears were warped so I just decided to replace all 4 rotors since my pads were still new. These are the ones from brakeperformance.com. They werent bad for 465 shipped. With the caliper paint was just a tad over 500. I wanted the dimpled and slotted but I figured it wasnt worth the extra 100 bucks over the cross drilled. I like the looks of them and I've had them on a previous car and didnt drive spirited enough to crack them and they were cheap ebay ones, so I should be alright.

That's on my list of things to do. I suspect one of my rear pads is dragging or a wheel bearing is starting to go out. It sounds like something os dragging back there after I go over a bump tap the brakes and it goes away.

So I ordered semi metallic pads for all 6 calipers since I can't find the EPB pads in ceramic.

We are not carrying the texstar rear ceramics at NAPA stores yet only the front and I won't want to mix materials.

Anything is better then dust monster OE's

Alright got her all washed up today and snapped some quick pics. I think it looks more dark and sinister. Seemed like the silver didn't look right with my color and the chrome wheels. The red with the black lettering was definitly a good choice. Let me know what you guys think.
I'll put up a few before of what my car looked like then afters.

That definitely looks great Vance!

What did you use to black out your ambers? VHT nightshades or something else?

Thats exactly what I used I did a topic about it here. I'm pretty sure I got some night pics in there and I also believe Bull posted some pics of his black STR with it done.

Thanks Mafioso. I think H&R's might have to be in my near future, then I will be done with my external/looks mods for a little while. I may start on some engine stuff now. I ended up not needing any hubs they were all in spec so may use that money I had saved for a pulley.
