Question Need help finding a dash kit for a Sony XNV-660BT (2000 S-Type)

I've been searching for a dash kit for this new double din, and NO luck! It seems as if nobody makes one for this model year, all I have been able to find are kits for 2003 and newer.

Has anyone replaced their stock system in a 2000 S-Type? Anyone know where I can find a kit for this model year? Thanks!

Did you read the existing threads? There are some on the UK forum, too.

I have searched both forums for a while now and still NO luck finding a dash kit or some simple instructions on replacing the stock double din. The S-Type 2002.5 and up is an easy job! Find dash kits's easily, it's the 2000 that is a problem. I've been working on a custom install, probably going to have to remove the coin tray and do some fabricating! If anyone has any ideas/info for me..... please share! Thanks

Did you buy the radio before you checked if it will fit your car??

Crutchfield has a pretty good fitment chart and I would always check before buying.

Thumbs up Finally got it done!!

I ended up returning the Sony and got a Kenwood instead. Well... no dash kit exists for the 2000 S-Type, so if you want to replace the stock one, you can have gaps, or do some custom work. I finally got mine to look good after hours and hours of trial and error. I ended up using a dash kit for a Kia or Hyundai, a bit of cutting, glueing, etc. and waaalllaaa! I've attached a picture.

So sorry for the delay in my response time! I haven’t been on this site for quite some time! To answer your question, it was a Metra, part #95-7321, purchased at AutoZone. Metra Part # 95-7321 | Hyundai Accent Dash kit | Metra Online I did a bit of cutting, gluing and fabricating to make this fit with the stock Jag stereo bracket, no cage. It took many hours to get it right, but it works! Be creative…… I hope that helps.
