Please Help!!!! Parking Brake fault
I have a 2005 Jaguar S-type anf the PArking Brake System is giving me fits !! THe Dealership wants over 1000 Dollars to put in a new Parking brake Module and actuator which may not solve the Problem. So since the parking brake does not work and the car drives perfectly fine IS there any way to disable that annoying beeping sound the car makes while driving ?

Welcome to the forum Wizard. You'll be glad you stopped by. Try a reset and a calibration. if those fail, you may need to crawl under and see if you have a broken cable or something. From the sound of it, yours is not stuck on, which happens to some, so you've got that going for you. Also, what is the age/condition of your battery? Despite the fact that it cranks & starts the car...they can set the EPB warning off when they start to get weak...transmission fault lights may be next....lots of bizarre, unrelated lights accompany the failing battery, but park brake fault is one of the more common. A reset involves pulling up on the EPB switch when the dash tells you to, while a calibration involves 5 or 6 hard presses of the brake pedal with some combination of switch-works with the park brake. Sorry, I don't recall the exact procedures but do a search for Park brake, EPB and such like and you'll find it...they've been in fairly recent posts...maybe no more than a couple of months latest posting
