Below is a list of people who have requested a Mafioso intake and to the best of my knowledge have never received one. I was trying to get a list of "Cash in Hand" buyers so we can possibly start moving on getting this procurement complete for all interested parties.

Its a list of those of us that are ready to buy some. I'm part of that list but don't know how long I can wait until I have someone custom fab me one locally! Any idea if we need to wait for another batch and how long it may take?

I'll check with mafioso to see what's up. I want to see you/all have the elbow. Give me a day and I'll get back to you.

rasputin, I spoke with Mafioso. He's getting settled in a new job and will have the "Mafioso Intake Elbow" back in production in a month. Hang in there fella...worth the wait, as it is superior construction.

I'm glad he is getting into his new position! I will happily wait then, I just wasn't sure if it would be an undetermined amount of time.

Def. worth the wait. Also...a twin screw and "Chiller" may not be too far over the horizon.

X2...And it's "free" preventative maintenance to swap out the hoses under the S/C before they leak...

I know that I'm way late to the party but curious to know if there is currently another group buy in the works that I could get in on?

It looks like there won't be any more of these produced by Mafioso. However, I might have a solution soon as I am having a similar one built for me that might be produced in a similar group buy fashion if it turns out well enough (hopefully within a week or two). I will be sure to post details if it all comes to fruition.

Default Mafioso AWOL

Hi folks, I called Mafioso last week but his cell phone is now routed to a home phone with what I believe is his wifes voice message. I left a message. Go with QuartzStr on the air intake tube. The rubber Mafioso connectors will eventually fail due to rippage under engine trq. With help from a fellow forum member (qwiketz?), the bellows (connectors) for the air intake pipe to airbox and intake plenum were procured from an outfit called: Engine Air Power (intakehoses.com) Washington, ph# 509-489-3684. Part#'s R40B-300-350X4 (silicone reducing sleeve 3.4" to 3" - 4" long, gloss black) and C40B-300-X3 (silicone sleeve 3" ID X 3" long, gloss black).

Hi guys. I'm going to be making my own this week so I'll chime in and let you guys know what I'm up to. I have the 3" silicone coupler left over from the vette and I picked up a 3.5" to 3" reducing coupler Friday. I'm going to take some 3" aluminum tubing over to shop that fabbed my custom intake tubing for my ysi setup on the vette. Since I'm not using the stock airbox (didn't come with the car), they'll probably just have to put a 90 degree bend in the tubing and cut it to length.

Once I get this done, I'll either do some 1/8mile runs or possibly dyno runs if I can find a shop that will let me work on the car between runs. I'll also be testing jets on the alcohol injection and will have it hooked up to a wide band so hopefully I'll be able to contribute some good info to the forum.

edit... if I can get ahold of a stock airbox someday, perhaps I'll talk to the fab shop about doing a run of these. I have a customer with a paint shop, so I'd be able to get them painted once done.
