Hey for those of you who have Mafioso's Intake, I need your opinion on which is more suitable to use; the T-clamps or the Screw clamps?

Thanks.

I think either would work just fine. I have the T clamps. They are very stout. You do have to think about how they need to be rotated on the engine intake side so you have hood clearance and can re-fit the plastic engine cover if you want to keep it on. The screw type would probably not have much of an issue with alignment.

To get the rubber connector fittings good and tight to conform to the shape of the intake manifold side, I think the T clamps may be a little better at that than the screw type clamps.

Can i place an order for one? I never noticed this thread before. Also, think the dealer will say anything about it if warranty service on the engine is needed?

It will come with a different valve cover vent. The pipe that goes from the valve cover to the intake so if you think you may have a problem you can switch back pretty easily.

The nice thing about this intake is that you can swap it for your factory one in 10 mins and no one will know any different.

I took mine into the dealer with the best installed and all the techs were googly eyed and the GM asked me what I could do for the XFR :-O. I think alot of dealers are coming to the acceptance of mods. Of course well executed tasteful ones that look like they belong there. If you pull in with xj-220 with a Honda park bench they might invalidate any warranty you may have. Haha

Plus the good thing about the elbow is that no factory parts were modified so there is nothing to void.
Check the magnuson act. Only factory specification altered parts get voided. And associated parts. In this case it would be nothing. Because the elbow would have to be the direct cause of failure.

You are right Mafioso, with the Magnuson-Moss Act I don't think there is any way your intake would invalidate any part of the warranty.
