Hi everyone,
Ive been looking around for a new motor for my 2000 s-type and came across a Lincoln LS transplant, they are both essentially same engines as the S-type and LS were built on the same platform but there still is some differences, from what I found out you need to change the intake manifold for sure but I'm still not sure about the rest. Some people say that you will need to change the oil pump as well, and camshafts because of the vvt??? not really sure who's right.... The engine thats in her right now has either a broken connecting rod or broken crank as the oil pan is completely destroyed:/ the car was overheated on several occasions due to a non working water pump and quit working i think on the first cylinder. I'm not sure about the electronics part of the swap as i know that the jag and ls run on different computers all though they are the same engine.... any help will be highly appreciated and if i do decide to go through on the swap you may expect a nice write up with pics to show up shortly after it is completed.
thanks
