Has been off the road for about 6 months, started it a couple times a week for the first five months then just became too depressing for me to go out and start it over the last month, so finally able to get it back on the road and it won't start.
Lights come on, steering wheel comes into position etc. when the key is put in the ignition, and the needles on the speedometer/odometer/whatever they are all kind of go back and forth. There is also a clicking noise coming from the engine area.
I have little to no knowledge on cars so any advice as to what this could be and/or how it can be fixed would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

There's a primary mistake. No car needs or benefits from being started a few times a week while in storage. Leave it alone undisturbed, unless you're going to take it out for a nice long drive each time.
The battery is probably now toast. Start there.
