Finally found a deal on some catalytic converters and got them ordered ($300 shipped from Rockauto.com fyi).
Do I need to order any gaskets, etc. for this job?
Common parts needed (bolts, u-clamps, etc.)?
Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Okay, but only if the following could loosely be considered "help". From the Unsolicited Advice department, before you replace the cats, what exactly are your symptoms? And what troubleshooting/parts replacement has been done so far?
As a certifiably lazy mechanic (not to mention cheap), it pains me to even hear rumors of others spending perfectly good money and effort that may not be needed. To wit, here's my happy experience after I had grudgingly resigned myself to replacing a cat on my '02:

Part of my unease was the direct affront to my CDO nature of only needing one cat and thus ending up with a mismatched set. In the end, it was great to only spend $50 and a few minutes under the car, versus spending big bucks and hours wrestling with exhaust pipes.
YMMV. Humbly submitted.

Thanks for the reply. I'd actually seen your post before and it's awesome for people trying to squeak by an inspection. I bought my car with two dead coils so I suspect my cats are legit fried. I found some reasonably priced so going to replace the. I've already replaced all four 02 sensors.
I was really just trying to find out if there is a gasket between the headers and the cats so I'd have them when I pulled the exhaust. I'll see if I can find a part number for them if they exist.

The exhaust manifolds have a 'rounded ball' type coupler and the cataverters have a flared flange. You can smear a little anti-seize compound on the flange and studs.
I think the nuts holding the downpipes are 15mm across the flats and I remember buying a Snap-On deep universal 3/8" drive for that purpose. I have not replaced one in a while.
I did get some Rock Auto cataverters a few years ago for a 2003 3.0 S-Type and they worked fine.
