01 S-Type climate control heat only

Hi,
Got the car back after the transmission work had to have done. Runs great, so smooth, shifts great.
Now that I've had a couple of days with it, I've had a chance to get to know the car. Seems the climate control blows only hot air. Pressing the direction buttons, I can hear servos operating flaps and the air changes where it's coming from, so I know at least that part works, but the temp up/down doesn't seem to have an effect on the air coming out of the vents.
Something stuck maybe? Looking for a good place to start.
Thanks!

Start by checking the fuse to the climate control valve. You might find it blown (Meaning the electronic solenoids cannot get charge to close) hence they stay open giving you full heat.
If the fuse is blown your going to need to ohm test the DCCV and ensure the electrical connector is actually connected to the valve.
Or you might find the DCCV is stuck open (if fuse is good) which means you need to replace it. (Buy Motorcraft YG-355 unit, you'll thank me later) stay away from $50 units. Not a job you'll want to do twice!
If DCCV checks out odds are your ACCM (climate control module) took a dump but in my experience with this (and after my recent issue I think I might be the 00-02 S Type climate control/DCCV authority)
my money is on your DCCV having an issue.

Both ours had that issue, and simply, hahahaha, replacing that valve restored sensibility to the system.

Soooooo,
About 5 hours the first time, the 2 mounting screws will drive to drink.
You will need,
Alcohol, lots of it.
Language, the rougher the better.
Sense of humour, just because.
I got my valves from Coventry West, and picked them up in Vegas, good excuse for a trip, even from here.
I have done 6 of them now, and 2 hours tops.

Just my novice feedback after pulling my failed DCCV apart that was stuck in the closed position, both solenoids.
