I need to do a closer inspection and some further diagnosis but I think I need to replace the radiator on my wife's '01 S-type 4.0 V8. Very slight coolant leak under where the radiator is located. I did the degas bottle about a year or so ago (was cracked). Also did the waterpump and t-stat not too long ago.
Assuming that it is the radiator (again I need to do a bit more diagnosis) is it possible to sneak the radiator out without reclaiming the refrigerant and removing the condenser?
I was reading through the alldata procedure for R&Ring the radiator and they say this is necessary. I'm hoping I can get away without reclaiming the A/C refrigerant and removing the condenser. If that is the only way then I'll have to bring it to a shop to have it evacuated and then do the job and bring it back for a recharge.
Anyone have any experience or tips in R&Ring the radiator while leaving the condenser and plumbing in place. Is it even possible? Thanks.

Sorry, it's a 4.0 V8. I don't have any problems getting a radiator. I'm more interested in knowing if it is possible to swap out the radiator without reclaiming the refrigerant and removing the condenser too as directed by alldata. Thanks.
