'03 Jaguar S-Type R Interior Dome Light Issue
Hi, all! My STR interior lights are acting oddly. See attached video below:
When the door is opened, the interior entry lights (footwell, rear lamps, etc) work as they should EXCEPT for the main dome light. The switch functions as it should, too. Another peculiar thing is that turning both reading lights on results in the dome light illuminating, too—but only at half brightness. I have changed the bulb (despite the old one being intact) with no change. I bought the car two months months ago.
Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

I have had a look on the official Jaguar wireing daigarm and I can not find the main interior dome lamp!!
The switch is shown, but not the lamp!
All the other interior lights that work fine on your car are wired together, but the main dome light is not wired in with them. I think it is controlled via the main intrement cluster.
You could have a look at 10A fuse F20 in the primary junction fuse box in the RH side kick pannel?? This may have blown when the previous bulb failed.

Try pushing the dome up fairly firmly into the roof by the center of the domefitting, mine often doesnt come on. Im convinced its a crack in the PCB or a bad contact as it has a kind of two prong plug system to connect and when you push it up it comes on
Ive yet to figure out the exact cause, its on my to do list
