Hello all !

I have been a lurker since purchasing my jaguar and now I need some help. 2003 s-type 4.2

A few weeks ago i started getting an error message and the car would go into limp mode.

today I got a good look at the error message and it says DSC not available and engine system fault

it also says something about the parking brake ?

if i shut off the car ..remove the key.. and restart it appears to be fine for a day or two..


any ideas?


problem #2 the car seems to run hot even though the dashboard temp indicates it is fine.

I have found a wire jumped under the fuse box ( under the hood ) between the ignition control and the secondary cooling pump..

are these problems related


come tothe rescue..........please !

 

BTW I have tried the EPB reset as described in the other thread.

When i pres the footbrake 5x i dont get any type of message....
