'03 STR Airbag light
Hey guys, like the title says, my Airbag light just started flashing a code at me.
I've read enough up here to see that it's probably a bad connection or chaffed wire, but I can't find code "34" anywhere to get an idea where to start the hunt?
Any help is appreciated guys!
Also, anyone interested in a set of STR heads??

If (stress if but no reason to think Jaguar would use different codes across the models) the Blink Codes are the same as for XJ and XK from 2003 ON, then:
Code 34 : Passenger Pretensioner Circuit Front - Open Circuit
This will set a DTC:
DTC : B2292
Associated with the DTC will be a PID which identifies exactly where the trouble lies:
PID 24 - Short to Ground
PID 25 - Short to battery
PID 26 - Open Circuit
PID 27 - Squib Front Low Resistance
You'll need something like AutoEnginuity with the Jaguar Expansion Pack to read 'B' Codes and the Dealer WDS is the only one a.f.a.i.k. that can read the PID Codes.
Whilst you can check for shorts and open circuit, be very careful with the Pretensioner as you could activate it with ordinary test equipment. If it isn't an obvious broken wire, this is one best left to the dealer.
