So after repairing the rear suspension from the previous owners accident.I tracked down the fuel delivery problem. Now for round 2
So I have the car up on stands draining the trans fluid because of a pan leak. I get the new pan, fluid and misc parts in a couple days. So I have a few problems to track down while the car is on stands.
-A misc knocking sound in the upper intake-after reading a few threads I looked at the torque converter bolts,1 is missing and 2 are loose. So I need to track down some hardware and perhaps some locktite.
-AC makes a horrible grinding sound when turned on. Looks like the motor mounts are failing which has the motor siting lower on the frame-in turn when the AC clutch engages rubs on the frame-
-Transmount is shot as well- I read somewhere that the Thunderbird or Lincoln may have the same transmount?
ABS DSC issues-looks like I need to remove the module for a solder session-
hopefully that is the fix all-
outer tie rods-shot
shock bushings
engine mounts
trans mount
torque converter bolts
trans pan & fluid
oil &filter

thats just my observation from 10 mins under the car. Im thinking of getting the Auto Enginuity. If you happen to know a cheap part distributor I need them. I want to do some upgrades but need these necessities finished first. Thanks for reading

 

Look for Mongoose JLR but use with great care.

 

I ordered motor mounts and transmission mount from rockauto recently for 03 STR,

the motor mounts were compatible, but were 1/4-3/8" taller than stock,

The transmission mount was completely incompatible, likely for the 99-02 cars,
