03 STR Dyno Run

@Jagv8,
It might be difficult, as the ECU/Airco are also sending out requests, so I am not sure how the fan controller does its work (i.e. put the fan request with highest values, and go lower when the requests go lower?), so it probably need some work. Also, it would be ideal to only have the fans turn on based on the delta temp (i.e. intercooler coolant x Degrees higher then ambient, and maybe go up gradually). I have a device like this, but haven’t had the time yet to put it on my car. Also I can’t help in testing as my car is only either low speed or high.
@bfsgross
It will only give you a small buffer (so protect against detonation) once you go full power/speed, not much I guess, but nevertheless all small bits could help, which is why I have one to. When you are driving low speeds the temp of the coolant will go up anyhow, and will be brought down again by the engine fan. Only when driving good speed (i.e. highway) you get enough airflow in that the coolant drops to the lower temp of the thermostat.
As Jagv8 says the engine coolant temp has nothing to do with the intercooler coolant temp.
On the highway you have good airflow, and that will cool down the intercooler coolant relatively quickly.

ICS (dyno shop) continues to ignore my request for the dyno sheet and vid so my bank is retrieving the $125 plus tax I gave them. Hopefully they won't have a firm leg to stand on if they contest the refund. I wouldn't advize anyone to do business with ICS (Stamford, CT. Exit 8 off Interstate 95). They are unprofessional BS artists who defraud good folks of their dyno results...unless you have a mod performed by them (?).

ICS (George)
When I arrived George greeted me with: Hello doctor, etc. He realized the motor was heatsoaked so he drove me to a nearby bodega for two bags of ice to cool down the charge coolers, but asked a tech to strap my car down on the dyno. He likes to tell jokes and they were pretty funny. We had a good time laughing. I then had the impression all was to go well...and it did. The entire experience was very benign and to the point.
Though I had 6 pulls coming to me I only had time for three. Before we parted he took my e-mail info. and said he would send the vid with dyno sheet later in the day. The next day I called to ask if he sent the info. because I checked my e-mail and it wasn't there. He again asked for my e-mail info...no sweat, I gave it to him again. The next day I called while he was on the road. He apologized and said he'll ask his wife to send it.... I called and was polite on: Wed., Thurs., Fri. On Saturday a tech said I must be eager to have the vid and info. so he would pass the message to George....
All in all, my experience with ICS was very benign...No hassles from either direction. What I'm guessing is George or the tech. lost the dyno info. on the computer. I understand this could happen and I wouldn't have been disappointed if they would have come forward and remedy this with an invite to dyno again.
I came away with a visual of 360 rwhp but needed the air/fuel ratios and where the power flattened out.
Before selecting ICS I was going to go to another dyno in Conn. I'll dyno there after hopefully improving the s/c cooling circuit, etc.

Thats a shame man Doing business with people like that and won't compensate you for their mistakes is BS!! You did the right thing, get your money back and never go back there, lolz...Hopefully who knows you might get better result from your dyno test elsewhere knowing what you have to do to keep it cool.
Take it easy.....
Take it easy.....

the cold intercooler pic is used with a killer chiller and separate intercooler loop.
I'm running alky injection but don't have any dyno results. I'm not making any more power, so I think i'm using too large of a nozzle. I haven't had a chance to swap it out since my car has been in the shop banged up since feb 3rd. It's almost out and I'll try to get it on the dyno with an air to fuel meter.
