03 STR Front Grille/Duct Part Number Confusion...
Hi guys,
So, don't ask me how, but one of my 'faux brake ducts' in the lower grille of my 2003 S-type R's front bumper, has went missing.
This is that trim piece in the lower grille which looks like a duct, and surrounds the foglight. If you examine the following photo, the two pieces at the top.

Anyhow, so I'm looking for a replacement, contacted coventry, and here's the issue.
They ask me if the car has 'adaptive cruise control'. My STR does not. Apparently, in his parts catalogue, there is only one option, and that is 'with' adaptive cruise control. Here is a pic of what his parts book is showing him. You can see #9 is the one I need and circled in red.
Now, a small provision or opening for an adaptive cruise control sensor to poke out of in that spot doesn't bother me.
What would bother me, is if the trim piece didn't fit all together. Although I doubt that, and I'm going to go ahead and order it anyways, I wouldn't mind some clarification on the subject.
Does a non-adaptive cruise control equivalent even exist? If so, are they interchangable (in this case of non-adaptive cruise control equipped STR)?
Thanks!
