04 s type rear calipers

I have a tool and have turned them in but they wont go far enough. Do they compress the rest of the way?

Mine just wound right in without any problem. Think they were just about flush with the caliper but I may be wrong as it was some time ago.
You have not left the handbrake on have you?

No, I took the whole assembly off last night, put it in my vice this AM and they screwed in. Thank you for the reply!
