Hello everyone!
My first post regarding my first Jag![Smile](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have, as stated in the title, a '05 S-Type R with a navigation unit, but without CDC. After searching online for a long time it seems, that the Jaguar's ACM unit is almost the only "normal" wat to connect mp3 player etc to the system.
I stumbled upon the following adater
Jaguar S-Type Aux adapter CTVFOX001 for iPod iPhone MP3 etc | In Car Connections
Has anyone had any experience with these? Do they actually work?
Thanks!
P.S.: Jaguars are a blast! I'm really happy to have switched from Mercedes

Hard to say but the listing says 1998 and on but Jaguar had a big change in 2003 when the fiber optic bus was installed. Your car has this and all the devices are attached to the network.
Your NAV head unit does not have inputs for different things. It's a network device on the fiber optic bus. To get access you need a fiber optic connection.

Alright... So, the adapter is not plugged in in the head unit, but some central device, which controls all the units... Is it correct? Where is this central unit to be found?
And, this adapter is not compatible with my system, apparently. Even so it could be connected to the CDC slot.
