Unhappy 05 S Type Driver seat not resetting

Hi guys! can anyone tell me what is my car issue is?

My driver seat doesn't move any more every time i inserted my key.. IN and OUT. It usually moved back down/away from steering wheel automatically, and my steering wheel goes up automatically, but now its stuck in my setting all the time. Please help, thank you.

Same Here.. I Have Two 03 STR's, The seat Moves When Entering/Exiting One Car But Not The Other.

Still set to Auto on switch on steering column? (See handbook.)

Will the seat move when the switch is pressed on the side of the seat?

On Mine Yes..It's In The Auto Position And All Movements Are Available If Using The Switches.

Sounds like on of them has lost the calibration on the seat system. If so, it needs to have the seat calibrated with IDS/SDD. It runs it through the range of movement so it knows where the seat is. Then the auto movement will function.

ONEsicJAG, yes! i can still move it forward and back, but i don't understand why is not moving after the key is removed.

Xjrguy, are you saying i have to play the switch up/down/forward/up to calibrate it and it will work? ok i will try this and hopefully will work. By the way, all the fuse are good too.

No. He says if it's lost auto then IDS/SDD is needed.

Make sure the control that adjusts the Steering column up, down or periscope in and out and moves the pedals on the floor is in the Neutral position. Neutral means not clicked forward for the gas pedals, and not clicked rearward for the steering column.

That the control is in the proper position, then you have a fault condition of another type which may need attention.

My driver seat finally working....cheers! After i play with my seat movements for a few times, and it works! i guess it stuck or something. I finally get out of my car easily..lol.
