05 S type R oil filter location
I have a 05 S type R. I'm in the middle of an oil change. I was intimidated by all the covers under the car, so I sucked out the oil with a hand pump through the dip stick line. Now, I'm trying to replace the oil filter but I can't find it. Where is it? Thanks.

well, you might as well get ready to get dirty, and pull the drain plug on the oil pan just to make sure the car is drained. You have to remove the "belly" pan. It is actually real easy. Grab a 10mm and a philips screwdiver. Remove the screws then pull the bolts and the pan will drop down. The oil filter should now be clearly visible.

Thanks guys! I did get brave, jacked up one side, and and took off the "belly" panel. And just like in a normal car, there was the oil filter right next to drain plug. It took me about an hour and a half of fiddling with that crappy transfer pump to suck out the oil - what a waste of time. I already came to the same conclusion about the ramps (thanks Oldengineer). Found them at Sears.
One more thing. Does the supercharger use the same oil as the engine or is it separate? I used Castrol Syntec 5W-30. Would you recomend something else for the next oil change?

I too, would like to know the answer to this. If no one here knows, I guess I'll find out when I remove the SC for porting...

Supercharger Oil
No the supercharger is sealed and uses special oil. You can get it from GM or Ford. You can also use jet turbine oil which is very expensive Except you can find it on E-bay for a cheap price.
Search the forum on how to change it. Pretty simple but you will need to use a turkey baster to suck out the old oil and refill.
