Default 06 S-Type TPS Replacement Unit

My wife's 06 S-Type need a new TPS and I'm really not really happy about having to buy a new throttle body.
Any one tried
NEW OE 198500-3300 TPS for THROTTLE BODY XR8 45053 XR845053; 00-04 JAGUAR X-TYPE - xiuyan sensor main various automobile import original sensor,Pressure sensor, air pressure switch, oil pressure sensor, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position s

at $50 each it looks like a deal. Maybe I should buy a bunch and put them on EBay at a popular price, well popular with me anyway.

I found one on EBay a year or so ago, installed it, and have been happy with it. Don't forget that you need a special 5-point Torx bit (set is about $9.00 on Amazon) to remove and install it.

If this is to treat limp home mode, have you tried to clean the connection between TPS sensor and the wire harness connector? The sensor itself is a sealed unit so can not be cleaned. The wiper on the inside is robust(we've had such device for decades). Try to degrease the TPS connector and give it good coat of dielectric grease and see if the problem goes away. It did for me.

Be sure to follow the code they throw at you. Mechanical is different from electrical. I hate that, it can be bad relays to grounding to burnt motor. I saw one of those ETC electronic throttle tester which is really handy, really need one at the time. Nothing by wire these days
