Default 06 STR trunk lid button

ok, I've had the car for a week now and i'm working through some issues.. first was the truck lid button, didn't work...dead... so i ended up pulling apart the trim piece, but not really able to see any issues there... 2nd i removed the tape and checked for broken wire at lid hinge area,, all looked good... i'm really thinking now that the button is trashed and not making contact... so next i remove all of the trunk lid liner so that i can get at the button its self.....and there hanging from the lid is the connector for the button...totally undone? hooked it up, put everything back and she works perfect...now to figure out my malfunctioning key fobs...

Or maybe the button was worn and kept opening the trunk at random times, hence the reason it was disconnected

This sounds like something a body shop would do when putting a car back together. I've seen plenty of stories...

Glad you got it sorted.

Take care,

George
