Hahahaha sorry tim, but down here in the south we dont have 10 second cars to sit in our garages and stare at, we have them to race...
In the south most of us drive our 10 second cars and attempt to make them look like innocent granny mobiles...

Like Brian Anderson's Car... http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicl...4_rambler.html

1642hp on the c16 and he drives it in the rain, on hotrod power tour, all over the place.

Iread in the New York Timesabout a guy in New York who made a 1988 Volvo into a 10 sec car. Apparently it can be tweaked easily in the computer management area.It was a sleeper alright.

Back in the day when we used to run 1/4 miles in this industrial complex from 1 to 4am, (off an arm drop, but we had slicks and vht and all that good stuff) I knew a guy who had his entire roll cage welded up tight and had it filled with nitrous and put his solenoids in the fenders and had the jets plumbed right up through the fender and into the stock air box and it was completely invisible.. I got to see so many people cry and say "dude! your definitely spraying! this is bullshit!" and my buddy would say "okay... wheres my bottle? where are the solenoids and jets?" and no one could ever find them and he got away with it for years... thats one of the sneakiest street racing tricks Ive had the pleasure to witness..

Waiting to hear how this story ends. Man, all I can say is glad it wasn't me. You never said if the MB got a ticket as well. You said both were clocked...but no mention of his demise.

Oh sorry forgot to answer that.. He got behind us both, but I was in front of the benz, so I guess he figure I was going faster.. He flipped his lights on, but drove right up on my bumper and almost rearended me, so the MB drove away and pretended like he didnt see the cop.. I was thoroughly pissed that the other guy got away and the cop asked me "why were you going so fast?" and I said "I thought that mercedes was going way faster..." and me and the cop went over my driving record and he was cool about it and we were both laughing, and he wrote my ticket while I called my friend up and checked to see if my tires were square from locking up the brakes when I tried to stop.. Then the fhp said "Come on Eric? 110mph? Seriously??" and I just said "ummm sorry??" haha and he handed me the ticket and told me I would have to go to court... I was like yay!

Did some one mention my car??? I think you did!

I got a ticket for 106 in a 55. Since I was doing more than 30MPH over
the posted limit I was arrested and my car was towed. Hand cuffs, ride
to county jail with state trooper, finger prints, mug shots, and had
to post bailI think it was only $25. Tow charge was $75 but I was able
to get my car back. I got a lawyer. Contested the ticket which caused
a court date. Met with the state trooper on the court dateand he dropped
it to 76 in a 5521MPH over. I paid the fine for that. I got lucky. Think the
lawyer "only" charged me $350 and the fine was $150. A $600 lesson.....I was
young(er) then. Fines have gone way up since then too!

Come on guys! 11 and 12 second cars on the road are few and far between.
10 seconds are even fewer. For those that are there they ain't running on
93 octane pump gas either. It all depends on what you consider streetable.
Nobody is going to take a 10 second car on a road trip.Just because it is
registered does not make it streetable let alone legal

Now, does anyone want to talk about Jags here or should I start a thread
on my divorce proceedings back in '01??? LOL!

Damn it man. In VA you would have been locked up on the spot! I'm not too sure if there is a way out of this one. Not trying to be a negative nancy but your driving days might be over.
