Default 2.7 diesel

Is anybody running one of these S types? If so, COLD weather starting myself and quite a lot of others I know of in the UK are getting very "lumpy" tickover when cold starting, the car drives perfectly, no miss firing. It's been plugged in to Jaguar diagnostics, no faults showing, Jaguar have been emailed and unfortunately they haven't been very helpful.
So, any ideas or suggestion would be welcome.

Bear in mind the diesel S-Type wasn't sold in USA/Canada (but not everyone is a member from there).

Theres plenty of UK members on this forum
Victor, I wish I could offer another solution to your problem other than the ones you`ve already had on the `other side`.
I haven`t started mine for at least a month so can`t even say if mines the same.

Hi Victor,
Nice to see you on this Forum and trust all is well with you and yours. Sorry I can't help with a solution to your problem and hope someone will come up with the answer. I do not use the other forum much these days.
Take care.
Inver. (t.....str on the other site)

Hey Victor, sorry I can't be of much help with with the 2.7 Jaguar diesel engine, but My Audi A6 is terribly lumpy on cold starts these mornings.

In fact I've found it difficult to start a few times recently with -13 readings some mornings and then a little lumpy just for a minute or so.....then drives absolutely perfectly, no problems!

Well, I didn't know the diesel hadn't been marketed in the US but, we've had a bit of "unusual" weather here and I parked the Jaguar in the garage last Tuesday and left it there. Went to start it this morning, fired 1st. touch and ticked over sweet as a nut
Bloody thing is trying to confuse me.

My 2.7 diesel has always started immediately even in minus 18 conditions and run properly, no lumpyness. Maybe you had a clogged injector that's cleared itself, that's the most likely for lumpy running. As soon as you put your foot on the accelerator the lumpyness disappears? Clogged injector. Some Forte additive in the fuel tank could be a good idea, or a few fills of the 'super' diesel that has a cleaner in it, e.g. BP "Ultimate".

My 2.7 has had no problems on starting after standing unused for weeks on end sometimes and it may be because the DPF equipped 2.7d have slightly different injectors and software.
