I have attempted to identify where the crankshaft locking pin goes, but to no avail.
To get things clear from the start, I know where the hole is, I know that with the cams locked it should just slot in. I've read jtis and the jag world article.
But despite this I have been unable to locate exactly which hole on the drive plate to use. Does the pin only fit in one hole, or are they all the same. Where should the keyway on the crankshaft be if it is correctly aligned.
Once again help

if it's the same as the XK-8 engine you take the crankshaft sensor out and you can see the flywheel, put a socket on the crankshaft pulley turn the engine, you'll see a series of identical square holes then a long hole, then more holes the same as the first ones.
The one you're looking for is roughly the same size but circular with a flat edge, there's only one on the whole flywheel that the pin will fit in so you can't get it wrong
