I have a 2000 s-type V-6 with about 115K. I just got the car bought it at a police auction for 5K. I am getting an error code that nobody knows exactly what it is ( I even asked the Jaguar and Ford dealership over the phone)
P1385= Variable Cam Timing Solenoid B Malfunction.
One guy on the forum fixed this problem by Cleaning up the "VVt" can someone please tell me how I can fix the problem, and also what a "VVt" is and how to clean it? I'm a noobie when it comes to Jag's.
Thank You in advance.

Error code P1385 is for "Variable Cam Timing Solenoid B Malfunction".
So I would first plug and unplug the VVT solenoids. There is a electrical connector on your valve/cam covers towards the front of the engine. This is for the VVT. I don't know which side is "B"? Then I would replace the VVT solenoid. I think this will require a dealer visit but am not sure. It's a pretty rare code and I have not seen or heard of it before?
