2000 S-Type Headlight
I noticed that my right headlight seemed to have an adjustment problem so I went looking for the problem. What I found is a ball of tape holding the bulb in place the wire spring stay is missing for that light. Not sure if the part is available or if I need to make one. I put the bulb back in and made a bigger ball of tape to hold until I can find a replacement. If a busted up bulb housing is available please let me know. I would be interested in seeing if I can make this one work again.

Gus, I don't have any help on your post, but it sounds like you've replaced the bulbs on your s-type. I'm having trouble with mine.
I have a 2000 S-type and both bulbs are out (low beam). There's power to the red wire that's constant....the headlight switch doesn't cut the power. The black wire has nothing. Any helpfull ideas?
I tried to remove a bulb, but the housing/reflector is loose.
Can the whole light assembly be removed easily?
Thanks,
Dave

Not sure I can help Dave but my first step is to check the fuse for the lights. As for the switch it has a time delay and that is what you might be seeing. This might help http://www.gusglikas.com/images/Auto...01999.25en.pdf diagram 8.1 As for the loose housing you need to check this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=10745 I hope this helps!
