Default 2000 s-type stock din radio removal?

been searching for an hour or so on how to get out the stock double din radio on my 2000 s-type with no results. Can someoen tell me how to get this ******* out??

Top right and top left are two teardrop shaped pieces. Pop em out. Bottom piece by the seat switches, pop it out too.

You'll see some bolts. Undo them. Slide ENTIRE assembly out after you've disconnected the wiring. Takes less than 7 minutes.

You will have more clearance removing it when the car is in neutral. In addition, I would put a towel over the gear shift assembly to prevent any scratches.

snooktarponis right this is a GREAT tip because I recently did mine and this saved me from sratching my ride.

Default removing bottom piece for bolt removal

Can anyone show me a picture of the bottom piece removed? I'm a little afraid I'm trying to remove the wrong piece because i can't get it out for the life of me. Any help woudl be greatly appreciated.

2005 s-type my cdc had a cd stuck half in I took the cdc out remove the cover and turn the big gear and it pushed cd back in to the cassette now my sound cuts off an on the dash cd plays but the sound cuts in and out the same for the radio is there cure for my baby

Dear friends I have posted my problem and got no reply - so I went to audio dealer and was told that everything must be replaced : Head, amp, and the cdc
My question is this - If they make audio system for these cars and other cars and trucks with fiber optic for sound, when the unit goes out why must everything be replace with and wired do they make replacement units - If no that makes me think that the units should last for ever
