I saw on here somewhere someone asked if anyone had installed a double din aftermarket deck into a 2001. Yes, I have successfully and it was pretty easy after figuring out there wasn't a shortcut. You're going to have to breakdown the entire cage that holds the storage and factory radio and build up it back together starting with your double din.. You won't be able to use the security locking cage that comes with the aftermarket unit because the cars cage will screw to the deck. After putting both sides on aftermarket deck then you can reinstall the storage box to its right side. You won't be able to put the top metal brace back on because the deck will be slightly too tall but it will still fit and bolt back into your dash securely. Hope this helped
