Default 2001 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 petrol

My car has had the red oblong dash warning light on for the last 2 years.
It came on after I put the car on a full wash and wax at the car wash.
Read on here that it can occur if water penetrates the system, but after 2 years and a new battery it is still on and a diagnostic check shows no errors.
Any ideas how I can remove as it will affect sale of the car in the future.
Thanks
Jim

There are about 10 modules and you know only about codes in one I suspect.

Exactly which "oblong"?

You may need a dealer to read all the modules....

The red vertical oblong warning light is 3mm wide by 15mm long.
It is to the rh side of the information led which shows low fuel, passenger door open etc. To the left there is an amber warning light which comes alight on low fuel and minor warnings.
Thanks

I don't have your era car so haven't a clue. Your handbook will say.

Here's what the owner's manual states:

"There are two warning lights, one red,
the other amber, located directly to the
right and left of the Message Centre for
primary and secondary status of the
warnings displayed by the Message
Centre.
‘RED’ warning lights are for primary
warnings. A primary warning must be
investigated immediately by the driver or
a Jaguar Dealer.
‘AMBER’ warning lights are for secondary
warnings when the driver must take
action and then report the fault to a
Dealer at the earliest opportunity."

I gather there's no accompanying message giving a clue what needs to be investigated immediately?
