2001 S type lower grill removal issues
Hi everyone,
I have a 2001 S type that I'm trying to replace the fog light.
I've read through the other forums, and everyone says that this is an easy job, remove a few turn style clips and the grill should pull right out.
Problem is on my car, there doesn't seem to be any turn style clips. I felt along the bottom and top sides of the grill, and the back. I've even downloaded the "Front Fog light" pdf for the 2004 S type, but mine seems to be different than that PDF.
So I can't get this grille off to replace the foglight that I already bought.
Can someone post pics of their similar year (the new ones are different so they won't help) S-type lower grille removal procedure? I didn't see any in the threads I looked up.
Thank you

Thanks!
Thank you very much, your help is appreciated!
I actually ended up figuring it out. Apparently, on my car, the middle grille is split into three pieces (somewhat similar to the 2005 model, but different enough that I didn't catch it at first). So you have to reach in, and depress this VERY tight clip located in the center of the cover. It's almost impossible to notice, but if you feel around, you'll feel a triangular type deal. Depress this hard while pulling on the cover. That exposes everything you need underneath. My hands are big enough that it was hard for me to get in there, and I was afraid of breaking the plastic, so I figured it would be better to ask and be safe than risk breaking it and be sorry.
Hopefully that'll help someone who has the same setup as my car, as I notice that some cars have different ways for removing the assembly.
In any event, my new fog light assembly is in place and all is well!
Thank you all and drive safe!
