2002 Jaguar S-Type V6 3.0 (transmission)

I have an 02 Jag S-Type 3.0 and my trans has been slipping for quite some time, but is very bad now - swapping b/t gears at hwy speed when it is in overdrive.....I cannot afford the huge price of taking to the dealer right now (the big D) and I need help on directions for changing the transmission fluid in my car (I won't be doing it - lol) but need to tell someone what they need to do. I am guessing my Jag is actually a Ford engine (at least that is what lots of people have said - I have no idea). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can someone give me some help on this subject before I am on the side of the road and looking at paying for a car I can't drive anymore!!! TY

If (that's IF) it's the trans that's slipping, you can ignore who made the engine (Ford and Jaguar). You'd want a trans shop or DIY. Search here on
5R55N
and be sure to look at the FAQs.
The usual issues are not cured by changing the fluid but can be fixed cheap or DIY.
As a newbie you won't see pics or PDFs so chat in the off-topic or similar for a while
