3- Vacuum Lines - Nalley Jaguar $60.00 (all 3)
1- Rubber 90 degree Elbows located under intake - Nalley Jaguar $10.00 ea. <-- NOTE THESE ARE NOT NEEDED ON 2003 AND UP! (US Version)
6- Coils - Rock Auto $34.00 ea. ($204.00 for 6 +shipping)
6- Autolite Iridium Spark Plugs - Auto Zone $ 7.00 ea. (I paid 13.00 ea. 2 years ago)
Fuel Filter - Auto Zone $ 9.00

Oil Pan Gasket - Auto Zone $26.00
Oil Change with Filter - Up to Joel -0-
Atleast Clean MAF sensor with MAF Cleaner Only!

TRANSMISSION:
1- Pan/Filter plus 2 extra liters lifeguard6 - www.thectsc.com $306.00 (plus s/h $29.00)
1- Electrical Sleeve
21- New Torx 40 Pan Screws

*Possible* Transmission Extension Housing Seal, (out bound transmission seal). I say possible simply beacause I haven't read alot about these failing, only twice in 2 weeks here, and 1 of them was on this vehicle. I have the parts if needed.
Seal and New Nut - Scott Jaguar $23.00

MISC.:
Cabin/Pollen Filter - Ebay $12.00 ($8.00 s/h)

Is there anything that I have missed that can be added to the list?

Also I will document (take pictures) of above procedures, if anyone has any special requests please do not hesitate to ask!

Oh this should be good

I can't wait for the writeups on these....

A parts source / total cost of parts for the motor list would be nice too.

Take care,

George

Default I wish........

My special request is that I would like to see you move closer to me than the 4000km's separating us at present!!!! I shudder to think what our local dealer would charge for all this, I am thinking $3k + seeing as though they quoted $1200 just for the oil pan gasket........

I think the member who is having his car worked on lives in the Raleigh area. And I thought I read where he is going to stay in Charlotte while Rick was working on his car. In the info box it states his location as Sunny South Carolina.

But I probably got it mixed up, it wouldn't be th first time.

Wait you're right... Rick lives near Charlotte, dunno exactly where that relates to the SC border and in which state he actually is.

I'm from Jersey the only thing I know about the Carolinas is cheap cigarettes and fireworks on the drive down to Florida LOL

Rick,

Under MISC add throttle body cleaner for cleaning out the throttle body.

May have to have a separate cleaner for the MAF sensor, maybe BRUTAL can confirm.

Other than that it looks good.

Hey Nick, I am just north of Rock Hill, I am in Fort Mill. I am so close to Carowinds, if the wind blows south, we can hear the screams from the people on the roller coasters!

Thanks for the luck wishes, No luck invovled

Thanks Mike, I told Joel to bring an extra benny ($100.00 bill) for just such cleaners, solvents and misc...

I believe I have all my bases covered. But any add-ons from you guys will help!

Ok fellas', we are on for friday! Man there are a poop load of parts in the man cave! Joel will be here around 5'ish, I plan to start immediately.

My plan of attack:
1) Remove wiper cowl to get to the intake. remove intake set aside.
2) Get under vehicle, move everything aside to get the oil pan off, lift motor, replace oil pan gasket, button everything up underneath.
3) Return to upper motor, sparkies, COPs, vacuum lines and elbows, IMT's, reinstall intake
4) Tackle transmission sleeve. When picking up the transmission extension housing seal (output shaft seal) and retaining nut, I had asked Wayne at Scott Jaguar if he has sold many of these, his response "In all the years I have been here....never". So we shall see if it indeed needs replaced.

So again the fun starts around 5:00, if you want to skype, PM me for my name, I will have a group set up for up to 9 people (max allowed on free skype) should be fun! I will have my puter on throughout the whole process, friday night and into saturday. TUNE IN!!!

If you're changing the oil, don't forget the filter when underneath. I hope all goes well.

Watched Rick working on the car in skype last night.
He definitely knows his stuff and goes over and above what any dealer / shop would do.

This is one lucky kid.

Cheers Rick,

Let us know how the rest works out.

Take care,

George

I did not replace the coils, Joel was sent the incorrect ones, and did NOT want to purchase the $50.00 ea. Auto Zoners. In addition to the parts in post #1, I had to add valve cover gaskets and a serpentine belt.

By this morning I had no remaining fault codes and the restricted performance was gone. I ran the vehicle up to the Shell station and put in a full tank of premium $47.00, (Joel uses regular) drove a short distance and popped codes 0171 and 0174, o2 sensors. I called all the local parts stores and no one had them in stock, bummer.

So next week we will tackle the o2's, tranny, and also the vehicle is dire need of brakes and rotors!
