2003 4.2 S-Type won't start.
Hi, I have a 2003 4.2 V8 S-Type(none super Chg.) and it won't start. It turns over fine and I also separated the fuel line by the fuel rails to see if it's getting fuel. Fuel pump works fine and gas came out when pump came on. I held open the throttle body to ensure it's getting air while I tried to start it but still nothing. It's not even trying to fire at all. I see no obvious vacuum leaks. I'm only getting one code and that's RL turn signal out. Could someone please shine some light on my issue and give me some ideas. Also the transponder not working and doors won't stay lock with key or automatic lock button. Thx

Hi JagV8, i have searched the other threads, but i'm unable to find the "diagnostic PDFs" ---could you please attach a link for me? This morning i have tried a hard reset 4 different times, i checked the fuse box in the trunk, under the hood, and in passenger side kick panel and found all fuses are good. I have also tried turning the ignition forward/back 3Xs in row and then try to crank... still not firing. The computer is not showing any codes.

Yes. It's called PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System). What is the red light mounted in the center of the defroster duct up by the windshield doing?? Report back if it's flashing or solid and what changes when you turn the engine over.
It sounds like the PATS has immobilized the car. Be aware it might require a dealer to reset everything and get your keys programmed correctly.

I rested the inertia switch (a lil FYI its located in the driverside kick panel not close to a fuse box). But still no spark and no new codes. I also pulled each spark plug out and put a little oil in each cylinder because it sounded like things were beginning to get dry. And I tried to move a few relays around and still nothing. All the fuses seem to be good as well.

Weird one, but be careful not to overload the starter motor while tryting to start the car. The starter notors are designed for very short duty cycles, and it is very easy to overheat them & burn them out.
It does sound as though the anti-theft system is isolating the ignition system. Seek out Brutal (a member) on this Forum: he is one of your best bets.
