Default 2003 jag..trans issue

please need some help...i haev this vehicle which is a v6 2003 jag. when i take off the vehicle starts great but when im getting to a stop its shifts down to 1st gear hard and if i take off quick it will slip. it act like when an automatic trans is low on fluid...i just changed the filter and added new fluid...this issue was happening before i did the filter change...i thought it would fix the problem but it stayed the same...i also get a poor preformance message and goes away after about five miles...but if i gas the vehicle up when this message comes up the car will miss really bad...once the message is gone it will run great....

No need to multiple post https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-issue-187682/

The "poor" message is unknown but let's say it is something similar. Could be a failing battery or any of a dozen other things - most being unrelated to the trans but might upset the trans.

No, won't reset them and you should not reset them without making a fix.

This may not be the car for you. Any car since about 1995 may not be.

Do a search on "the lurch" on this forum. That may be what you are experiencing. Also, the 6HP26 is finicky about fluid. Make sure when you did the fluid and "filter" (integral to the pan, so I'm assuming you changed the pan?) that you used the proper fluid and topped it up at 30-50 degrees C or whatever the spec value is...it cares.
