2003 Jaguar S-Type V6
Recently got a Jaguar from someone who kept it in maculate condition. The only thing it needed was new break pads which were fairly cheap and easy to replace. I do have a park brake fault however and a ABS/DCS fault that comes on as well at random, but eventually goes away. My cruise control doesn't work when this happens. Also had a check engine light come on and had a random transmission issue happen this morning which went away as well. I believe that could be a rear wheel sensor issue, along with that 5th gear or so. I can go get the codes if anyone wants them. I kept all the gathered info in my glove box. Just want to make sure every minor or major thing gets fixed so this vehicle last a long while. That last thing (just remembered) is a rear reverse or parking light that seems to work on and off (loose wire maybe)? I'm not entirely mechanically inclined, but I'm learning heh.

Welcome to the forum. Here are a couple of things that you will want to do. First go to he new member sub directory and properly introduce yourself per forum protocol. This has many advantages. Secondly go to UserCP, scroll down to edit signature, click, add your vehicle details "2003, 3.0, mileage etc., this will help us help you without having to ask for that info.
Onto your problem, you might want to check your batteries condition and year. There is a ton of information about "Battery Failing" in the archives. Here is one of the many: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...e-stuck-32699/

You MUST fully charge your battery before doing any troubleshooting on these cars. Once that is done, clear the codes with a code reader and drive the car for at least 50 miles. Then read the codes again.
Lots of time, trouble and expenses can be avoided if you fully charge your battery before troubleshooting. See my link below in my signature.
