2003 S Type Rear Brakes Question
I have a 2003 Jaguar S Type and I was going to replace the rear brake pads and rotors. Is it very important to replace the bolts that hold on the rear calipers or just put on locktite? If so, are they somewhat standard bolts or should I get them from Jaguar only. There are no Jaguar dealers near me, I'd have to mail order them. There is a Ford dealer nearby if that would help. The pads came with clips and shims only.

It may be cheaper (due to labour rates) and "safer" (more reliable or whatever) for garages (shops) to use new bolts rather than go hunting for the right locking compound.
Such issues mean DIY goes the loctite way
There's also the detail that a typical car owner never ever looks at caliper bolts (or much else) whereas DIYers who do their own brakes hopefully do a thorough inspection of a lot more than brakes maybe twice a year. We'd notice a bolt backing out, I sincerely hope.
