hi everyone, i recently had an error message of "DSC not available" and "ABS fault" coming up on the dash display, this only happeneda couple of times over the period of about two weeks. when i took the car to the local jaguar dealer they said it was a faulty off side front speed sensor that needed replaced, which was going to be $160 for the part and about $600 for about three hours labour! my question is whether it would be easy enough to just buy the part and get an ordinary mechanic to change it, as the car is booked in with my usual mechanic to get new discs and padsfitted anyway? i would also love to know exactly what the part is that i would have to order? is it simply called an off side front speed sensor?
