2003 S-Type woes

I have a 2003 S-Type 4.2L non sc with about 97k miles. She was running rough and dying off when I got on it. Dash said engine restricted performance. I replaced the plugs and it didn't fix the issue. I then replaced all 8 coils and plugs again. Now it won't fire at all. Just turns over. I didn't try starting it for very long as I didn't want to drain the battery.. I checked the engine compartment fuses and they all look great. I swapped around a couple of the bigger yellow fuses. Now it won't even turn over. I swapped them back to no avail. Does the car have a cutout if the battery gets low? I can hear the fuel pump run when I do the key... I double checked I had the right coils (airtex wells 5C1420 ( Aj810455)). What I thought would be easy has turned into quite the ordeal! Any hints out there? I did read some of the other posts but nothing quite matches my situation.

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to S-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

First things first,
Get a hold of owners manual and make sure all fuses are correct value and in correct place.
Get hold of a code reader and pull codes: tell the forum what codes are present, wait for advice.
Charge the battery fully for 24hrs
Fix original problem(after forum members offer insight)
Try to start car with charged battery. you may have borewash so may have to put a tablespoon of clean oil down each plug hole to bring compression back up.
Report back regularly: forum members are really helpful but without codes will be floundering in the dark!!

+1^. Question about the battery condition....check with a volt meter. Most electronic systems in these cars are not tolerant of under voltages, so even a weak battery will have you chasing ghosts. Check the contacts on those fuses you pulled, and clean them with DeOxIt D5 or equivalent. I'll bet they have a ton of carbon buildup. Could be something simple.
