I purchased and Under Engine Tray some time ago and it was great. After an oil change, some of the fasteners were not secure and came down onto the road. I was travelling at a high speed.
I have managed to makeshift my current tray and it will last for a bit. I suspect that when I change my oil next, it will be difficult to salvage.
With that, I am having a very difficult time finding a replacement. One dealer told me that they are not making them anymore. Not sure if that is true, but I haven't been able to find one yet.
Does anyone have a suggestion or a reliable source? I would by a good used one or new.
I appreciate the feedback. Love the site you sent me too. It will help for other parts I am looking for, but unfortunately, I am unable to find the tray/shield I am looking for. I do have the technical manual and will see if I can find the part number in there. That might help locating one.
Montana doesn't have any dealerships and very few Jags. People here are good at keeping cars for a long time. Most consider my care new even with 12 years and 139,000 miles on it. It has been an adjustment coming from California. Salt Lake and Boise are the closest, so maybe a trip some time.
I may look at repairing the one I have. Some well placed strong plastic and good fasteners might to the trick.
I will keep you posted as to how I end up handling this. Thanks again.
Pete, my closest Jaguar dealer is in Minneapolis about 100 miles away.
Made a mistake of going to them when we bought the car about getting
a new key FOB. Since the one that came with car was dead and only the
key worked. Wanted 2 working FOB sets and it set me back $673. That
was just first dig we had. Then a week later, find out the headlights were
shot. The plastic mechanical gearing to adjust them was busted up inside
the headlight housings. Went through Merriam Jagaur and bought a set
of non-HID just Halogen with non-auto adjust features for only $869.
Fun job replacing them when you must remove the entire front fascia
bumper. Was then I discovered not having a belly pan putting it back
together.
Had to when ordering the pan go through customer service since this
not a item they normally carry. Think mine was shipped over from
France where they are made. Was on the label on it.
I do know that, but when he talks with customer service, you must give your VIN # anyways and they will tell you what they will order and the price and
whatever shipping may charge.

OUch! JK...but when you say "a set" I take it you mean two headlight assemblies? Perhaps they felt sorry for you after the key-deal; while $869 sounds "Hella-steep" they are commonly $600 ea. for new ones. (I haven't looked in several years, but that is what they used to be)
It is too late for you...well, sorry to say, too late AND too early...but you'll need this later after those new ones break in the same manner (not "if" unfortunately) You should've tried the "Brutal Fix:"
(baking the lights in the oven isn't really all that much extra labor considering R&R of the front fascia!)
When searching for the links to edit back in, I saw your post regarding yours being too far gone for the Brutal Fix and eschewing the internal parts replacement method as too labor-intensive. Good news, you made in informed decision...I was afraid you'd sprung for new lights without knowing about the other options - so thought it worthy of posting them here, in case newbies happen by and don't know they have choices.

FYI, went through all those fixes and videos before going this route. Turned
out the screw I put in was the only thing holding the headlight lamp in
place. When I pulled the old ones out. You could hear all the little plastic
gearing to adjust the headlights rattling around inside the housings. They
were beyond shot. The price of the original was mind boggling. With the
Auto-level and HID they were $3300 each. No way was I going there.
I buy everything from Gaudin Jaguar parts and service in Las Vegas even though I live in Salt Lake City. I purchased a new belly pan and all the bolts for my 2006 STR in Dec of 2013. Cost was 207.38 (just for the pan) compared to Salt Lake City Jaguar who wanted to charge me 317.98. I really like Gaudin Jaguar!
