If the car has headlamp washers they're another nuisance beyond the rust.

Hello chaps sorry for the delay I did take the car to a place in Derby called Elite Performance Jags.
They could not find a fault they stripped out the modules and tested them they were working so fitted them back in tested the drain again and it had gone only a 200 mil amp drain which I am told is normal for a S Type.
So it cost me £108 so I collected the car on thursday morning they had left it mon..tues..wed... night battery connected no drain.I drove back to birmingham on the thursday then Friday morning the car was dead again so they have it back at derby so i am back to square 1.
i will update you again soon hopefully with some good news.

hey lee i had a similar problem on a s type here and traced it back to the logic supply wire at the front electronic module, tell your technician to back out the wire at connector fh59-6 in the fem then re-run a drain test if all is ok i would just run another wire to that pin from fuse 20, this method worked for me you cant lose anything by trying let me know how it goes, look at the wiring diagram for your connector locations, fh59 is on page 28 of the diagram in one of the previous posts in this thread

I have fitted an isolator switch as I said before so i can use the car but the problem is so i have been told the s type has 1 complete wiring loom so everything has to come out of the car i have also been told the dampness can cause it and there was water in the boot which i have removed and drilled 2 small holes for drainage.
do when or should i say if we get some warm weather i will recheck and see if i get a drain.
