Stop guessing... if your "into" the car - which it sounds like you are - either take your car to the Jaguar dealer or an independant mechanic that specializes in Jaguar - pay for a thorough diagnostic, figure out all the issues, get them all repaired properly - then take the dealer & shady-tree mechanic they employ to Court.... or "bite the bullet" and consider it an "expensive" lesson in purchasing a used automobile.

And yes... I believe there are Lemon Laws in CA - but your situation wouldn't fit into that category.... unfortunately...

It seems you need to take this vehicle to a shop with competent Technicians familiar with Jaguar repairs.

If there is a constant misfire in any cylinder, the coil pack should be removed and the spark plug hole checked for oil. If oil is present, the oil should be removed and the coil pack replaced.

The Lemon Law in California only applies to vehicles purchased new.

Rather than simply asking questions and awaiting a response, please be pro-active and do some research using this forum and the Internet. Most of the questions you pose have been answered several times on this forum.
