Unhappy 2005 S type left hand drive, ignition lit but wont turn over

Hi Everyone and it sure is a pleasure to be here... We have purchased a 2005 S series 3.0 and the car is lovely , but the trouble is it wont start... The ignition and guages work when the key is turned to the on position ,however the vehicle wont turn over.. I have checked the fuses and found them all to be good.. I also got under the vehicle and crossed the starter with a wire, while an assistant held the key to the start position it would turn over but it would not start... Any suggestions or help would be truly appreciated .. I hope I have posted this in the proper place.. Thank you for any response., mack...

If you Search you can find a few other similar threads and they're full of help. It'll really speed things up for you. They mention things like what the self-test does and what the PATS light does. Pretty detailed....

Just PATS might do as a Search word, but have a play
