Default 2006 Jag S Type 3.0 Apply Foot And Park Break - Park Break Fault

Good afternoon gang!
Over the weekend I applied the parking break and I heard a thud and felt one pulse on the break peddle.
Following this it would just say Park Break Fault....
Now it is saying Apply Foot And Park Break - Park Break Fault and it wont stop beeping as I drive! I could hear it try to run when I apply it -
I took it in to my mechanic and we could not get this to stop.
Until parts are in, is there a way to clear this out?
I searched on the forums here and I could not find anything that helps.
Thank you in advance
Nick

At the moment I do not know.
I have owned the car since 2007 and its the original parking break parts. First time ever having an issue. 260 000km
Still rides like a dream
