Default 2006 S-Type 3.0 - complete coolant bleed ?

As my winter servicing plan of my Jag (purchased last summer wit 82t km on the clock) has reached the point of changing the coolant for fresh one, I have faced the problem of not being able to get more than about 6.2 liters out from the engine. I used the tap on the LH side of radiator, after which about 5 liters were out overnight (both expansion tank cap and bleed plastic screw on the expansion tank open). Then I removed two rubber hoses from the electric heating valve on the RH side of the radiator, to get about 1.2 litre more. However, as the total capacity of the engine is about 10.5 lire, I expect there must be a way how to get out more. Would be most thankful for any hint or advice.

Sure, just do like I do. Drive it until a hose breaks. That empties almost all of the coolant. The last little bit generally drains out when tipped up on the tow truck.

Sorry, couldn’t resist. I don’t know the secret to drain all of the Byzantine passages in the cooling system.

Well, sounds promising... However, if anyone knows any other less brutal way I would be thankful.

Top up with distilled water. Run it up to operating temp, with HVAC set to max heating. Shutdown, drain radiator. Repeat this process until you are draining more or less clear water.

Drain the 5L out of the radiator. Top-up with new, undiluted coolant. Run it up to Temp again. Have a beer. You now have the proper mix of 50/50 new coolant/water.

IIRC, this requires about 12 (US) gallons of distilled water. You'll have to convert to litres.
