Default 2007 Type: Air conditioning vibration

When the climate control is turned on, there is a vibration that can be felt right through the driver's seat. It is definitely coming from the compressor, not the blower.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution for it?

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Are you getting your normal cold cabin air when your A/C system is on?

Our 2005 S-Type's compressor began to die a couple of months back. The A/C system could manage to cool the cabin as long as outside temperatures remained in the 70s. Once they rose through the 80s into the 90s, the compressor couldn't handle it. I listened to the compressor with the engine at idle using my mechanic's stethoscope, and it sounded like a cement mixer full of gravel. To the naked ear, I couldn't detect any unusual noises. This is what convinced me that the compressor was indeed in the early stages of failure. A new compressor solved the issue and the car is back to its normal arctic cabin air with the A/C on even when outside temps are well into the 90s....

Cooling temperatures are as I would expect them to be. There are no audible noises when the compressor is on, but the vibration is something that can be distinctly felt. Outside of the noise, did you experience any unusal vibration?

No. Just a gradually failing compressor that had to be replaced.
