The Instrument Panel Message Center and Odometer are back lit but do not show any text. I've tried a variety of on-line suggestions but none have worked. Any thoughts on how to bring them back or am I looking at some new electronics or possibly an instrument panel? Certainly need the remaining fuel Range Data as the Fuel Gauge is not working. Any suggestions on fixing that would also be appreciated.

This thread covers a similar problem with an early model:

Perhaps it's something like that on your 2004? Maybe inspect the circuit board with a magnifying glass, in search of a cold solder joint or bulging capacitor.
Whatever you do, don't just swap in a used instrument cluster. The panel is the heart of the security system and is programmed to a specific VIN. If you install a used panel already programmed to a different VIN, the rest of the security system will respond accordingly. It won't be pretty.

Here, I did the search for you.
Speedometer Repair Guy
I'd bet he could fix this for you. Call him on the phone, remember those? LOL and describe your issue. My repair bill was $125 at the time.
Here's my round up post on this repair
