4.0 cylinder numbering
I got a code indicating a misfire in cyl #8. The car ran fine till a misfire started occurring, then a check light came on. I am assuming a coil failure, based on what I have been reading, but I want to be sure that I adress the correct coil. Based on past experience with Chevy V8s, I would assume that the number one cyl would be on drivers front, and drivers side cyl numbering would be odd while the passenger side would be even numbered, with #8 being passenger side rear. Am I correct in this? What I find on the web is numbering by bank (bank A 1,2,3,4) (bank B 1,2,3,4). I am new to Jags, and am learning as I go.
