The dream must have met reality. I asked myself one question at the start of this crazy man's plan, and by the last few posts was pretty sure I knew the answer. In spite of all the knowledge and off the cuff engineering plans, could he not see that the 4 liter AJ V8 was NEVER going to fit in that Lotus engine bay? Not in a million years.
He probably planned to run it with a custom hood, err, bonnet and sit on a couple of phone books to see over it. The AJ V8 was narrow enough in terms of the block, but the heads get pretty wide, and it is quite a tall package. Comical to see thoughts of fitting it in that car, regardless of reasonable (comparably) plans for custom ECU, Toyota transmissions etc. Pehaps it WAS possible, but to my untrained eye, this was putting 10 pounds of baloney in a 5 pound bag.
